1. Medium: Pencil on paper

2. Shapes and objects: A whimsical illustration featuring two stylized figures, likely children. The figure on the left appears to be a girl with red hair holding a bouquet of flowers. The figure on the right is a boy with brown hair holding what looks like a birdcage. Both figures have large, expressive eyes. There's a decorative element in the background that could be a fence or part of a garden structure.

3. Colours: Soft, pastel palette. The girl's dress is white with green trim. The boy wears a green jacket and blue striped pants. Red for the girl's hair, brown for the boy's. Touches of blue, yellow, and pink for the flowers. The background is predominantly white or very light beige.

4. Narrative: This painting depicts a charming, innocent scene reminiscent of children's book illustrations. The characters have a doll-like quality, with their large eyes and simplified features giving them an endearing appearance. The flowers and birdcage suggest themes of nature, care, and perhaps the changing seasons. The overall style evokes a sense of nostalgia, innocence, and the whimsy of childhood. There's a storybook quality to the image, as if it's capturing a moment from a children's tale.

5. Original Artist: While this is an original work by Mehrdad Fahimi, the style is strongly reminiscent of the illustrations by American artist Margaret Keane, famous for her "big-eyed" paintings of children in the 1960s and 1970s.

However, the softer color technique and the more detailed clothing and accessories also bring to mind some of the illustration work of artists like Holly Hobbie or Sarah Kay, known for their sweet, nostalgic depictions of children.

This painting continues the tradition of illustrative art that appeals to feelings of innocence and nostalgia. It showcases Fahimi's versatility as an artist, demonstrating an ability to work in a style quite different from his landscape paintings. The piece likely holds appeal for those who enjoy vintage-inspired illustration or collectors of works that evoke childhood memories.
